Twitter site went down today as it keep prompting “Twitter is out of capacity”.  According to MicroGuy, it is due to DoS attack. Due to it, a lot of twitter applications is facing problem on connecting to twitter’s API.

Question is “Are we too depending on Twitter?”. Twitter is the strongest short-message social networking tool in the world with average growth of more than 1000% each month. If this tool is down, indirectly it will bring down all twitter applications as well.

Hopefully twitter will come out a prevention plan to avoid this DoS attack in future.
