Having problem to access your file from another pc thru your web browser?
Very hard and troublesome to configure network sharing of a file or folder to your friend thru internet?
If yes, now Microsoft has come out a new beta program called Windows Live FolderShare which is still in beta phase. It is a program where you can share your personal libraries or even allow remote access to your destination computer desktop or laptop from any of your web browser. Believe it or not? It is real and I have test it out.
I believe you have heard of Windows Live SkyDrive, which is another also related to files. By the way, there are different between this 2 freeware. SkyDrive providing online storage of 5 GB for free to anyone. While FolderShare is providing protocol to access the files from your shared remote pc, where shared user able to access the files from web browser. Cool, right?
New Facebook Design on 21st July 2008

Just recently, facebook has their new layout design which providing more usability design to user. Where it have better user experience on the web 2.0 layout. Try it out now www.new.facebook.com
When you first login to new layout design, you will see layout as below:
Zone 1: New header toolbar of welcoming message
Zone 2: All of your profile shortcut area
Zone 3: Your news feed of your friends
Zone 4: Short summary widgets like your friend requests, status updates, bookmarks and birthdays
Zone 1: New features of usage of tab. Clicking on each of the tab will change the content below to the particular topic which I think is very user friendly and fast response. This is the area which I like the most with this new layout enhancement. And most important, there is a cool nice place for me to enter “What are you doing right now?”. It is similar to twitter. If compare this short with twitter, I still prefer twitter. Why? Because twitter is supporting anywhere.

Enhanced ASP.NET Tree View with JQuery

Recently I come across to a project which required a tree view with some ASP.NET control to be attach with some tree view node. The default ASP.NET treeview doesn’t provide this feature and there is no way to extending the default tree view. Therefore, I decided to write a composite control from scratch.
The purpose of this control is to allow user to input control such as Button, Drop Down List, Radio Button List, Radio Button, List Box, Check Box List, Check Box and TextBox into each row of tree view. Additionally, I used JQuery assisting this tree view’s behavior of Collapse and Expand.
Result of this Extend Tree View as below:

Example of the picture above showing the tree consisting 2 root with 1 level of sub-tree. Let’s see on “TICKET” root, there is a label with drop down list. This enabling user to check on “TICKET” and there is an input control allowing user to select which “TICKET” type (just an example scenario).

Hellboy II – The Golden Army

I didn’t watch Hellboy first episode, so I not know what story running on Hellboy first episode. Me and my wife went to TGV One Utama for this movie. Actually I don’t like to watch movie with TGV instead of GSC due to its seat is very compact space to put my leg and the room kind of oldish.
Overview rating:
This red guy Hellboy is a very funny guy, he love to sing and showing off whenever he is on mission. With his super gun, he could defeat anyone especially when he is on fighting with “God of Forest”.
The graphic effect and animation is very nice as well especially on when he is fighting with “The Golden Army”.
You shouldn’t miss this good movie.
Journey back to Taiping during Wesak Day 2008
May 19th
My wife with me drove back to Taiping on 16th May 2008 (Friday evening after work) to see our lovely daughter, Kelly. At the same time, we visit Buddhist Temple Taiping for Wesak day.
16th May 2008 (Friday night)
The traffic along the way back to Taiping was perfect as we back 1 hour early than normal after working hour time. After drove 3 hours, finally we make an exit at Changkat Jering Exit. We would never waste our time floating around Taiping and we straight rush to my wife’s sister house(there is where my daughter stay currently).
My wife run into the house and call “Kelly, Kelly” as I am hiding behind an black glasses window to see her. At first, Kelly was a bit surprise to see her mother(my wife) suddenly appear and feel embarrassed. She look so happy and keep smiling. I noticed that she is looking for her father. She look around and found no where is me. Suddenly, I appear and she even more shy and smiling, bend her body lying around the sofa and so on. Kelly is so happy to see both of us after being 2 weeks of separation. We bring her to eat some food at Siang Malam then we bring her back to our house to sleep.
17th May 2008
Our bed is so much nicer to sleep. I hardly wake up from my lovely hometown bed. We went our to eat breakfast with my wife’s sister and her mother at Taiping Pasar. We ordered some mee and drinks. I like the “Cham Pian” (a type of teh mix with coffee). After the lovely breakfast, we back to house to rest until evening.
On evening, we head to my mother shop situated at Simpang road for our lunch. My mother cooked mee with chicken soup for us. I eaten 2 bowls of mee as it is so delicious (maybe because it is cook by my mum).
Without no wasting our time, we went to visit my wife’s friend who staying at Taman Kota Jaya. We being talk and drink home made “Fu chuk yi mai” at her house. After that, we back to house to rest again.
At night, we have our dinner with my mum at a shop with famous food “Roti with kari udang”. We ordered “Roti with kari udang”, fish, vegetable and one soup. We really enjoy the food in that restaurant and the price there is so much cheaper. I hardly believe total price is not above RM 50.
18th May 2008
Still the same, we hardly wake up with our lovely bed. We had our breakfast at “Kaka Restaurant” with its famous “Kuey Teow Soup”. I sweating a lot as the environment is very hot and warm.
Evening time, my wife and my daugher went to mother-in law house to talk while I back to house to rest. The weather is so hot in Taiping, but luckily my room had an air-cond.
At night, I went to fetch my wife and my daughter. We went to eat dinner with mother-in law at Taiping food court. It is coincidence as my mother and my sister was eating there as well.
19th May 2008
Morning time after wake up, we went to Buddhist temple to buy some food. End up due to the environment is so hot and warm, we sweating like hell. We finally wake out from Buddhist Temple after 30 minutes. We heading to Larut Matang food court to have our breakfast.
On evening, we will be back to Kuala Lumpur to continue our jobs and we will be leaving our daughter at Taiping.

After being using hosted blog under MSN Spaces, Blogspot and using BlogEngine.NET on some of my previous blogs, finally I have come to the conclusion that WP is the most best environment for me to write my personal blog.
Nothing much about my personal but just to keep in touch with my friends, relatives and colleagues of my life. Sharing in one blog could save my time to keep update everybody. Therefore, this is one stop station to read about Ervin Ter’s stories.
